-  In a report by KLAS Research evaluating 15 different vendors, Arcadia, Epic, and Innovaccer are highlighted as the most-well rounded leaders in population health management to date.

As provider organizations search to advance their value-based care strategies, they are turning to population health management technology to give them the confidence to move towards value-based care.

The KLAS report provides insight into the major population health management technology that is currently offered. This includes the types of organizations that use population health management systems, highlighting what the customer experience is like, which solutions are seeing the most market energy and the breadth of their population health management capabilities, all areas that Arcadia, Epic, and Innovaccer excelled in.

While Arcadia, Epic, and Innovaccer shined in the overall excellence category, other vendors were showcased in the report as well. For Customer Success, KLAS rated vendors Innovaccer, Azara Healthcare, Cedar Gate Technologies (Enli), and HealthEC with high marks.

“Innovaccer is highlighted for building and delivering new technology that meets client needs, such as custom-built dashboards and risk models. Azara Healthcare customers report the vendor has excellent customer service and is easy to work with. Cedar Gate Technologies (Enli) and HealthEC are both described as proactive, which drives high customer satisfaction,” KLAS writes in its report.

When looking specifically at the vendors that are seeing the most market energy, the KLAS report ranks the most-well rounded leaders as Arcadia, with Innovaccer following, and Epic coming in at third.

“Arcadia’s functionality and timely data integration are seen as strengths. Organizations that choose or consider Innovaccer highlight the platform’s customizability, workflows, and risk algorithms and feel confident in Innovaccer’s ability to provide good relationships and support. Epic is also frequently considered, thanks to the native integration between their PHM solutions and EMR,” the report states.

In the final category of the breadth of population health management capabilities, the report recognizes Cerner and Epic’s high achievements across several of the six pillars, including data acquisition, data analysis, care management, administrative/financial reporting, patient engagement, and clinician engagement.

Each could be found in three different categories depending upon the source of primary work. These categories featured vendors that work primarily with large hospitals/IDNs, ambulatory organizations/physician-led ACOs, and FQHCs. The report also acknowledged Arcadia’s and Health Catalyst’s strength across each pillar.
